THE SINGING PRACTICE

POLICY

  1. The Singing Practice does not employ any teachers and merely provides an administrative role of offering and organising lessons. Any teachers working for The Singing Practice do so on a freelance basis. All teachers are DBS checked and are members of the Musicians Union which means they are insured under the Professional Indemnity Insurance.

  2. COVID: All the rules in regards to sickness that were in place before the pandemic are still in place. Please let the teacher you have a lesson with know as soon as possible if you’re feeling unwell so your lesson can be rescheduled free of charge. To make sure that you are well before attending your lesson, please ask yourself the following questions. If the answer to any of these is yes, self isolation is required and we would need to rebook your lesson.

    • Are you waiting for a COVID-19 test or the results?

    • Do you live with someone who has either tested positive for COVID-19 or had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days?

    • Do you have a fever?

    • Do you have a cough?

    • Do you have a new loss of taste or smell?

  3. Any lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled time will be charged at the full lesson rate, unless there are exceptional circumstances or illness. There are no refunds for missed lessons.

  4. Lessons will be classified as a ‘no-show’ if no notice is given after 20 mins after the start of the lesson time and will be charged at the full lesson rate.

  5. You can reschedule your lesson online up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of your lesson. Once rescheduled your payment will automatically transfer to the new lesson time.

  6. Payments can be made online when booking a lesson.

  7. Each 10-lesson package must be paid in full online, otherwise, the per-lesson rates apply.

  8. Packages expire after 365 days and are non redeemable.

  9. Each lesson will allow 5 minutes for student changeover if necessary.

  10. You will receive emails, including newsletters, but your personal details will never be passed to any third party.

  11. I reserve the right to discontinue a lesson if a student is not well enough to sing.

  12. In the event of any exceptional circumstances or illness on my part I will contact you immediately to reschedule your lesson and your payment will be automatically transferred to the new lesson time.

  13. We protect and respect your privacy. Any personal information that is given to me, will not be shared with anyone else.

  14. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time but are non-refundable. Unused lessons will roll-over to the next month, which means you can save them up to use them in the months after as long as the subscription is active.

  15. Lessons, lesson packages and subscriptions are non-transferrable to other people.
